About Crown River Cruises
Crown River Cruises offers luxurious cruises supplying meals and entertainment and also provides circular cruises for sightseeing. Our Thames river cruise vessels are frequently used to host functions such as wedding receptions, birthdays, business parties or any other special occasions whereby food, entertainment and a bar can be provided.
History of Crown River Cruises
We started as a small, family run charter based company, established in 1986, which began with one vessel and later purchased the Sarpedon, Salient, Sapele and Sarah Kathleen. In 1992 we began scheduled services to and from Westminster to the Tower Bridge. This became very successful and led to the expansion of Crown River Cruises, as in 2002 we introduced a new vessel, The Sarpedon.
Crown River Cruises Events
The Salient has been of service to the London Mayor, along with many celebrities and is a prestigious part of Crown River Cruises' history. We are also very privileged to carry the Oxford boat race supporters to the race venue every year.
The Sarah Kathleen is a single deck vessel, which mainly functions for touring and has also been used for television filming due to its suitably large deck.
Our office is situated at The Old Pump House on Blackfriars Pier, which is a reflective and idyllic location in a picturesque part of London, enabling satisfying views of famous landmarks such as the Houses ofParliament and the Millennium wheel.
Can I just write to say a huge 'thanks' from both the TTRA and myself personally for all the help and assistance you and the team gave us yesterday afternoon / evening that went toward making our Port of London Challenge possible. It is sometimes overlooked that the people behind the scenes make as much effort as those in the forefront of operations. Not this time!
Well done. Everyone said that they enjoyed the punctuality and willingness to assist exhibited by the crew aboard Salient. Personally I'd also add my gratitude to you for your speedy response and professional ability to recognise our needs and then act on them as swiftly as you did."
Kind regards, Roger Gould
Secretary & Treasurer for the TTRA
