CROWN RIVER CRUISES PRIVATE CHARTER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

VOYAGES CHARGES:

As applicable to each vessel for period required as per current price list or subject to special quotation and/or fares per journey.

RESERVATION:

A reservation form is supplied which must be fully completed, signed and returned to the appropriate company, together with a 25% deposit within 7 days of making a provisional reservation. We are sorry but provisional reservations can no longer be held indefinitely and will only be held for a maximum of 14 days, subject to availability.

CANCELLATION:

If the voyage is cancelled by the client for any reason, it must be put in writing to us by e-mail or post. Contact details can be found at the end of this document.

Scale of refunds:

Up to 16 weeks prior to your event. Full refund of deposit.
Between 16 weeks and 4 weeks prior to the event. 50% less any expenses incurred by Crown River Cruises Ltd in respect of your event.
From 4 weeks prior to the event. The contract price of the event is payable in ful.

CONFIRMATION & PAYMENT:

On receipt of a deposit, a confirmation will be issued together with an invoice detailing Voyage arrangements, charges and balance due. Any error in the confirmation must be notified to the company immediately. The copy of the invoice/statement must be returned to the company with all monies due at least 30 days prior to the date of Voyage. This copy will be receipted and returned. Tax point will be date of full payment. In the event of a voyage being arranged within 14 days of reservation, payment will only be accepted in card or a bank transfer. The same condition also applies to late payment balances. It must be stated that without full payment, the company is NOT liable to supply vessel(s) for the voyage. If the voyage is cancelled by the client for any cause within six weeks of the date of the voyage then the whole amount of charges and ancillary dues are payable by the client.

THE VOYAGE:

The vessel will remain under the complete control of the Captain and Crew provided. If for weather, tidal or other reasons the Captain considers it necessary to vary the scheduled voyage, his decision on this and other matters will be final. The Captain will endeavour to position the vessel alongside 15 minutes before times stated on confirmation to facilitate embarkation and disembarkation. We regret that we do not allow clients of members of their party to bring food and drink aboard the vessels except by prior arrangement and subject to any charges levied for such facility. Clients are expected to relay this information to members of their party together with information concerning the name of the vessel, embarkation point and time of departure.

Alcohol is not permitted on board any of our vessels unless pre-arranged with the office and corkage fees have been paid.

DAMAGE & LOSS:

Clients are liable for any loss or damage of the vessel or equipment and fittings on board, including catering and other equipment, caused by them or members of their party. The organiser is invited to inspect the vessel prior to embarkation of the party or by appointment prior to reservation to inspect as to the satisfaction and suitability of the clients requirements.

LIABILITY:

The owners will not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, accident or injury to persons embarked, or their possessions howsoever caused or during embarkation or disembarkation, whether this be negligence of their employee’s, other persons or otherwise.

THE COMPANY:

Reserves the right to substitute another vessel or vessels and if necessary for reasons beyond their control to cancel the said voyage but will not be liable for any expense incurred by the client caused by such substitution or cancellation. We reserve the right to refuse passage to any person or persons, the reason for such refusal need not be stated but should be in the interest of the company, its vessels or person and crew embarked. We also reserve the right to alter prices should circumstances beyond our control dictate this policy. We also reserve the right to charge interest on any outstanding debts. Should the client have any cause of complaint, the Captain must be notified before the end of the voyage. Complaints will not be accepted unless so notified.
